MyPDF is a local-first PDF toolbox developed by Fahmi Ridho, currently available at version 0.2.0, with a single version released to date. Falling into the document management and PDF utilities category, the application is designed as a small, fast desktop program that handles the everyday PDF workflows users would otherwise take to an online converter, with the key distinction that all processing happens fully offline and nothing ever leaves the user's machine. There are no uploads, no accounts, no limits, and no tracking, making it suitable for privacy-conscious individuals and organizations handling sensitive documents. The toolset covers a broad range of common tasks: merging PDFs, arranging pages through a visual page organizer, splitting documents, picking specific pages, compressing files with full quality control, rotating pages, adding watermarks, locking and unlocking files, converting PDFs to images, converting images to PDF, converting Office documents to PDF, performing OCR with live progress feedback, and extracting text. Most tools accept many files at once and run them as a batch, which makes the application practical for repetitive, high-volume work such as preparing scanned archives, assembling reports from multiple sources, or reducing file sizes before distribution. Typical use cases include combining several documents into a single file, reorganizing page order visually, extracting only the pages needed from a large document, applying watermarks or password protection, and making scanned documents searchable through optical character recognition. The software requires Python 3.10 or later along with the pymupdf and pikepdf packages. Some features rely on optional free helper tools to extend functionality: Ghostscript enables stronger compression, LibreOffice provides Office document conversion, and Tesseract together with ocrmypdf powers the OCR capabilities. This modular design keeps the core application lightweight while allowing users to unlock additional features by installing the relevant free components when needed.
